I HATE SEEING PRODUCE GROWN HERE SENT TO MARKETS IN THE SOUTH ONLY TO BE BROUGHT BACK HERE TO BE SOLD AT INFLATED PRICES. WE USED TO HAVE OUR OWN POTATO BOARD, MAIZE BOARD AND PEANUT BOARD AND WE COULD BUY JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING GROWN HERE FROM LOCAL SHOPS. SO, I AGREE...BRING IT BACK!!!

I love gardening and wish I could grow more but styro boxes only fit so much (rental property).

I decided to look into the 'realfood' movement after I saw an article in the newspaper. A few people had mentioned it to me but I was never able to get any info about it until I found the website. I was tired of going to the supermarket and finding overpriced produce from far off places, and as I do shift work I never seem to get the weekends off to do the market thing.

I have lived in Atherton for 12 months and love it.

Currently staying in Cairns where I'm embarking on a travelling/wwoofing adventure for a few months.but live at Ipswich west of Brisbane. I follow a largely raw, fruitarian diet and have a keen interest in growing tropical and exotic fruits. 

I love the concept of the Real Food Network and the act of fostering localised, sustainable food production combined with LETS/bartering exchange methods.
